Ends and Odds

Peter Brook's production of five of Beckett's short plays, is running under the umbrella title of 'Fragments' at the Paramount Theatre in Boston, MA. The production has been reviewed by Don Aucoin of The Boston Globe, who writes,

Few if any directors understand Beckett’s matchless ability to dramatize humanity’s eternal struggle — or to make it strangely funny — better than the 86-year-old Brook. Even with the relatively slight, stripped-down quintet of works that make up the one-hour “Fragments,’’ Brook (who teams up with Marie Hélène Estienne) demonstrates anew his grasp of the playwright’s complicated worldview.
